Cigarette
Smoking is a drug addiction. Because of the nature of the brain-and the drug-it
is a hard addiction to stop. A very small part of the population can stop smoking
in one session. For the rest of us, it usually takes between 3 to 5 sessions.
This will depend on:
- How long you have
smoked
- How good of a hypnosis subject
you are
- How much you truly want to stop
smoking-and are willing to do what it takes.
-
How much compulsion (old emotional energy) you carry in your nervous system
The
more sessions you do, the lower the relapse rate. My normal fee is $110 a session.
For addiction work, I sell three sessions packages for $95 each (that is a total
of $285). The $285 will be paid the first session and the other two sessions will
be booked at that time.
In the first session,
I can easily determine what type of a hypnosis subject you are and lay the groundwork.
I will usually see you again in 4 days to a week later-and that is when you actually
quit. I also recommend that you quit when your life is peaceful. Smoking is most
likely your best defense mechanism. The mind is more willing to give it up when
life is non-stressful, the less you need to defend yourself.
With
anyone I work with, I like to run a Human Design Chart. By providing me with your
birth date, including the exact time and place, I can run a chart of your design.
This shows me how strong your will is, how suggestible you are, how you think,
etc., allowing me to word suggestions much more accurately. It may sound weird,
but it is an amazing science. (See http://www.humandesignamerica.com/
for more.)
I also recommend a book called.
"The Easy Way to Stop Smoking" by Allen Carr. This is an older book (often
found in used bookstores). It points out the psychology of smoking addictions
and how we brainwash ourselves into these addictions. From this book you will
really learn about all the lies and illusions the mind creates about smoking and
how nicotine (drug addiction) works on the brain and body. Some people, if their
will is strong enough, can quit smoking just by reading the book!
